Gannon Ceramic Coatings & Mobile Detailing

After seeing all the praising reviews here, I have to guess that his work runs hot and cold. Sadly, I got the cold. We called him to wash and detail a 32-foot motor home. He up-sold us on a ceramic sealant as well. That was probably my mistake by thinking the total job would be superior. The rig was filthy. I believe he did an adequate job of washing it, but washing is not detailing. He didn't bother to clean sticker goo off of the windshield although we all looked at it and he commented on it. No effort or trying to go an extra mile. I cleaned it off after he left with a simple rub with "Goof Off". There was a minor paint transfer or scuff on the rear corner. He never addressed it. I cleaned it up with a little bit of polish. He left streaks on the body here and there. When I pointed out some stains on the chrome bumper he as much as said, "Too bad, there's nothing you can do about it." That's just lazy. He didn't even try. The next day I took some metal polish to the chrome and, without a whole lot of elbow grease, I cleaned the stains off. Who would call them self an auto or RV detailer and not carry metal polish? Then he supposedly ceramic sealed (just sprayed something on and wiped it with a cloth) it which, he explained beforehand, is a sealant and not a ceramic coating. The jury is out on that as I will have to wait some time to see if the sealant was worthwhile. All in all, he and his helper were here two hours for $480. I'm very disappointed. Clearly this was not worth the money. If you choose to give him a try, I hope you get him on a much better day. My wife said I should have inspected his work before paying him. That's not my style. A man does his best work without corrective complaints from the customer or he's not worth the job. Bottom line impression: I think he is primarily interested in selling his ceramic products, and definitely not a 'detail' man.
