Med's Auto Detailing

We did not have a good experience at Med's Auto Detailing. I am a fanatic car detail hobbyist myself, and when I saw good reviews of Med's come by I figured I would earn him some business on my wife's SUV for the annual full spring detail. Dropped the car off for a full interior, exterior, and engine bay detail. When the car got dropped off at our house at the end of the day the first thing I noticed was that there was a big chunk of paint missing from the front bumper. Typical spot caused from being to close to the paint with a pressure washer. I asked Jack what happened there, and he had no idea. Since Jacks friend was waiting for him in the car I paid him the requested $240, and off he went. When Jack left I looked over the whole car, and I noticed that half the interior wasn't treated with leather conditioner. There was still sand in the trunk liner mat. The windows had visible streaks. Gas cap was still dirty on the inside. I immediately send Jack a text message to let him know that he missed quite a lot of detail on our vehicle. He apologized and stated that he had a friend of his working on my wife's car who missed all those spots. I then asked Jack if that same friend damaged the paint on the front bumper and he never replied, what makes me believe that his friend indeed held the pressure washer too long in the same spot. I hate to give a nice young man a negative review, but as someone who heavily relies on Google reviews I feel obliged to do so. Jack charges prices of professional detail shops, so he needs to step up his game. He did offer to come by the next day to finish the missing interior conditioning, but I did not want to accept that offer. Our front bumper needs to get repainted. Any professional detail shop I would hold responsible. But what do you do with a kid who still lives at home and details cars in his parents garage? Ring the doorbell and ask his parents to cover the damage? No, this is a hard lesson learned for us to not use any of these 'businesses' again. I would give Jack 2 stars, because he is a good kid. The attention to detail however is that of a $40 automated car wash detail instead of a $240 full detail. But the fact that he never replied to my question if his friend damaged our front bumper truly bothers me. Expensive mistake.
